Gonzales out as U.S. Attorney General
And I must say I'm glad it happened. It's too bad that we can't get rid of President Bush and his policies as easily.

The Great Office Move
Well, they finally got me to move offices. I can't say I'm fired up about it but at least people will be lost for a while trying to find me. On the 27th, the rest of the people move into my old office so I will be moving computers like crazy that day.
In other news, you have two short months of shopping days until my birthday. I'm going to spare you the agony - send me cash! That always works great.
Finally, I love my girlfriend! I hope you have a wonderful day Sweetie!

Phil "Scooter" Rizzuto
It's a sad day in Yankeeland.
God has taken ole #10 and left us without a shortstop.
May God have mercy on his soul.

DIY
I've been undertaking a major project at my house this week. My brother had the incredible foresight to buy me tile for my bathroom for Christmas.
I started the project Saturday by purchasing $140 worth of "stuff" that I needed for the job. After pulling the linoleum up and replacing some 3/4" wood, I put down mortar board for stability and proceeded to cut and lay the tile. I finished with the laying of the tile last night (and I'm pretty stiff today as a result - too much time on my hands and knees will do that to me). Today, I'm going to buy some grout and sealer so I can put my toilet back and be ready by Sunday. Of course this is just the first step. Next step is to strip down the vanity and stain it a little bit lighter. Then I will replace/do something with the countertop and finally I will figure out something with the shower itself.
Sigh! I'm tired just thinking about all the work that needs to be done to increase the value of my home. I'm hoping I'll have some extra income and help for the next few stages.

Drums Along the Rockies
Last night I took Natalie to see a marching band competition. It wasn't too bad. In fact, I enjoyed parts of it. See, I'm the type of guy who thinks halftime is a great time to go get a drink, use the restroom, take a walk, find friends and/or buy food. I never stop to actually watch the halftime show.
I think that is going to have to change, at least if Natalie is around. :D
The groups last night were all percussion and brass (which is why I find it kinda strange that Natalie enjoyed herself so much last night, being a clarinet player). Personally, I liked the costumes, the colors and the choreography more than anything else. The tunes and how hard it is for them to march while playing don't interest me.
However, it was a good night to score boyfriend brownie points! And because of that, I would do it again.
I love you Sweetie!

More Blasting of Ritchie McKay
Read the part about the men's basketball team GPA. Dismiss the part about Steve Alford. By the time he was hired, the semester was pretty much over.
Hey Ritchie, it's hard to win with the "good character" kids you recruited that can't do better than a 2.3 GPA. That means they generally didn't understand what little teaching about basketball you did.
