When I See Your Face

I got home at 9:30 last night from Breckenridge, CO and the When I See Your Face Singles conference put on by the Denver Church of Christ. First, thank you to the Denver church for planning and executing such a great weekend. The more I think about it and listen to the lessons taught, the more I grow in appreciation for it. I built some great friendships, deepened some convictions and most importantly I stayed focused on the events of the weekend instead of my upcoming trip to Georgia.

I hope to have some time to update the gaccnews.com site with my notes and the audio from the conference this week.

One of our Nine is Missing

I'm not happy about this. For 31 years, I have known that there are 9 planets in our solar system. I get really excited when I hear of the possibility of another planet in our solar system. Now, that won't be the case, unless something strange happens.

I hope I'm alive when these "scientists" decide to add Pluto back to the solar system.

Countdown Begins

One month from today I fly to Savannah, GA to visit Natalie!

I can't express my excitement so I'm not even going to try. Just keep you eyes here as more details are confirmed.

History is Made!

Wednesday at 8:00 AM MDT, ground will be broken on the former Macombs Dam Park, Bronx, NY, where the new Yankee Stadium will be built in time for the 2009 season.

To the citizens of da Bronx - thank you for giving up another precious park. I know how the amount of park acreage has decreased over the years and I can imagine the uproar this will cause as the stadium is being build, however, I ask you to please refrain from interfering with the build process. The new Yankee Stadium will bring mucho dinero to your borough that you can use for other projects that are needed (i.e. cleaning up the place, etc.).

I also found out an interesting tidbit about the new stadium. Currently, those people who sit in the bleachers are stuck there (i.e. access to the rest of the stadium is prohibited). This will change in the new stadium. If you purchase a bleacher seat, you may walk around the whole stadium and experience everything it has to offer.

There is only one word to say after that - sweet!

Definitely looking forward to watching my first game in the new stadium sometime after 2009

Travel Plans

If you've kept up with me this year you know that another one of my friends moved this year (gee, what a surprise).

Well, as of today, I will be going to visit Natalie next month.

Thanks to Orbitz, I bought my tickets extremely cheap. Now I need to get a hotel room with the same type of deal and it must have high speed internet access or I'm not booking.

As I told Natalie, dreams became reality in a matter of seconds.
