Dare to Dream Retreat, etc.

I was lucky enough to have successfully planned a singles retreat at church that happened this past weekend. It was a bittersweet time because I was happy the planning was over but I was sad the event ended. Our guest speaker was very good (thanks again Jeff!) and the whole weekend was great. I spent lots of time with Natalie, lots of time with people from out of town and I missed out on some much needed sleep (sorry Amelia, I actually like saving daylight) and I (and everyone else who attended) enjoyed the lessons. Look out heaven, here I come!


Tonight, I decided to try a new beer. Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat. If you like lager with some flavor, you can't go wrong with the cherry flavor this one has. I drank it and I certainly can't wait until I have another (not tonight - I need to be at work tomorrow).

Thankfully, the holiday's are nearing and that means lots of time off. It's been a long year and I can't wait until I can sit back and actually enjoy the holidays for the first time in a few years. I'm especially excited to see how my nephew enjoys his first Christmas. I've really grown to love him more than I ever thought I could. I find myself anxiously awaiting those times when he is old enough to learn the lessons my uncle taught me. So far, his upbringing has been a full family effort. If that keeps up, he will turn out to be a fine member of society. I hope my other brother is paying attention...
