Rants and Raves

A few weeks ago my car was parked in front of my parents house. My brother came in to tell me that a kid, riding his bike, hit my car, broke the side view mirror and dented the fender.
Well, here we are almost two weeks later and I'm finding out a few things:
1) You have no rights as the owner of the car. Whatever the insurance company says is what will happen. Period.
2) We haven't spoken to our attorney in almost 15 years. In that time he has gotten divorced and moved. I'm not even sure he is still in the city.
3) Insurance adjuster's are idiots. You know you are, just admit it. If you are related/married to one, I suggest you encourage them to find another occupation.
4) The State of New Mexico isn't much help in cases like this.
5) The law is vague regarding what recourse I have.

See, all I want is the fender on my car replaced. When I am told that a "filler" is going to be used on my car, I go ballistic. Now I get to go to one of the places I had the estimate done and find out how much of a difference there will be in the price between replace and repair on my car. If I had known this was going to be a problem, I would have made them pay to have the mirror replaced at the body shop instead of doing it myself.

To all the insurance companies in the world - go to hell!!!!!! You guys are the biggest rip-off known to mankind.

Life Just Got Harder?

Any good computer guru knows to stay away from any Apple Computer.

That is more true today than ever before.

Earlier this year, Apple announced it was switching to Intel based processors in it's computers. Immediately, the hacking community got to work trying to get Windows XP to load and boot on one of the Intel Mac's.

Apple just made it easier for them. Microsoft thought it had a piracy problem before, just wait until every Mac made is running an illegal copy of Windows XP.

To all my readers, I do not support the Mac, regardless of what OS it is running. In fact, I'll charge you $100 just for mentioning asking me about one.

It has been a surprisingly quiet week here at DDJT.

That changes today.

I finally heard an umpire yell "Play Ball".

My Yankees don't play (if at all) until tonight in Oakland.

That leaves me enough time to cheer for Florida to win national championship #1.

Good times indeed.
