Opening Day

Baseball's opening day is today!

However, I have to attend a meeting with the search committee helping us find a new GM at work so I will miss the first hour plus of the game.

I'm convinced that is why the DVR was invented. Should my Yankees win, I can go home tonight and watch the game.

There will soon be three state quarters I don't spend:
New York
Florida

and...

New Mexico

Coming soon!

Arthur C. Clarke

A man I believe was truly a pioneer in not only science fiction but also in the development of the world has died. When I saw this article, I was reminded of a few days ago when I was wondering if he was still healthy or whether his death was going to be announced soon. Little did I know that today would be the day. I feel a deep sense of loss. I have (and still) enjoyed 2001, 2010, 2061 & 3001 along with the Rama series of novels he has written. In fact, it was because of 2001: A Space Odyssey that I find myself a computer guru today.

Thank you Mr. Clarke for molding my life into what it is. Since you have asked for a ceremony without any religion, I will just say "rest in peace" and, to quote Hal, "Goodbye".

Woman on Toilet Seat

Memo to self - been too long since last post...

Gotta check the link.

I know that some people have issues that require medicine to control, but if you had someone sitting on your toilet for two years, wouldn't you at least complain to someone about it?
