Reese Witherspoon

Stuff like this makes me wish I lived in Los Angeles because maybe I could get lucky enough to date someone as attractive as Reese Witherspoon.

Fog

I drove to work in fog today.

No, not a mental fog, the actual thing, which is surprising considering I live in a desert. I think this fog would have given the fog in Savannah a run for its money. What is strange though is last night I went outside to do something (that is mental fog - I've slept therefore I have forgotten) and the air smelled like rain but it wasn't raining. That is probably the first time I can remember something like that happening, so when I left the house, although the fog was thick, I wasn't surprised.

Honorable Mention?

You know, Carla wants honorable mention for wishing me a happy birthday this week.

I don't think so.

Why?

See this picture <-

This is the CD soundtrack to Hoosiers (it wasn't called Hoosiers over seas). And she bought it for me.

That gets you more than an honorable mention. That gets you your own post.

#32

The only real difference this year from last year is I am now a homeowner. However, the one thing I want I still lack - a wife.

As I went through my day today, I brought up a memory from when I was 11. My dad was coaching my little league baseball team and we were playing the second best team in the league. Dad argued a call at first base and was thrown out of the game. I don't know why I suddenly remembered that but I did.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me today. Gwen, thanks for lunch. Nat, thanks for taking time to call even though you had to work all day. You make me happy every time I talk to you. Mel, thanks for remembering and I hope you have the baby tomorrow. Lon, thanks for the perfect gift. KB, I am glad to hear from you and even happier to get an e-card from you. I hope you are doing well.

Tomorrow is the first day towards #33. Darn.

6 More Days

There are just six short days until my birthday.

For those of you who are planning to buy me something expensive, you need to have it shipped today if I'm to receive it in time for my birthday.

Of course, the gift I really want will (hopefully) come after Christmas. :-D

It's Official

I am now officially in debt for the next 30 years. It's fun but scary at the same time. I just hope that I can have that special someone move back to town so I can share the house with her one of these days.

1 Week Left

There is one week left until my birthday and I have some serious needs.

Since I'm buying a house next month, I could really use some household stuff such as a vacuum cleaner, kitchen towels, paint, paper towels and most importantly - food!

Of course, cash donations are always accepted. :-D

Game 1 - Yankees

It's hard to brag about this one because Melanie and Steffen are from Michigan and Michigan is one of my favorite states but scoreboard says Yankees lead 1-0.

Game 2 is in an hour.

2 Week Warning

O.K. folks, there are only two weeks before my birthday. You know what I want so go make it happen.

I'll be waiting.
